One simple way you can extend the life of your tyres is regularly rotating them on your car. Tyre rotation means changing the position of each tyre on the car. There are specific ways tyre rotation is recommended. (see the diagram) Generally, it is best to rotate tyres every 10,000 to 15,000 kms. Spare tyres/wheels are for emergency use only and should not be used in the rotation sequence.
Tyres on all-wheel drive and 4x4/SUVs, each tyre wears differently, some quicker than the others. Rotarion can compensate for uneven individual tyre wear to produce safer on and off-road driving experience.
Rotation is also necessary because each tyre on a vehicle carries a different amount of weight, especially your rear tyres if you are carrying loads, making them wear at different rates. By rotating them, those differences can be evened out.
